Growing up in Greenville, Texas, Bart Millard suffers physical and emotional abuse at the hands of his father, Arthur. When Arthur becomes terminally ill, he finds redemption by embracing his faith and rediscovering his love for his son. Years later, Bart's troubled childhood and mended relationship with his dad inspires him to write the hit song "I Can Only Imagine" as singer of the Christian band MercyMe.

Until the Whole World Hears... Live was recorded live at the Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina, and released in August 31, 2010 by Reunion Records. Hope is the twelfth album in the live praise and worship series of Christian Contemporary music by Hillsong Church. Hope was recorded live at the new Hillsong Convention Centre over two nights in early 2003 by Darlene Zschech and the Hillsong team. The DVD for the album was directed by Luke Irvine.
